Before you Join the Crew

Eligible applicants are students currently enrolled in an accredited Maricopa College who are pursuing academic credit through their institution. Applicants should be studying in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Digital Media, Film and Production, or a closely related creative field.

We look for students comfortable in creative softwares, programs, and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Audition), Blender, Figma, Notion, or similar platforms. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills are also important.

Our Fall 2026 applications will open in early July. Applicants can expect to hear back from the team by August 2026.

No referral is required. All applications are reviewed equally based on alignment, interest, and creative potential.

Space2Inspire is a creative studio and learning environment built around the idea that every individual carries a unique creative space. It was created to help students develop their voice through real creative practice, collaboration, and hands-on studio experience.

You will work on a range of gallery and studio-based projects throughout the program. This includes branding systems, visual campaigns, media production, exhibition design, and experimental creative work. You will also be assigned longer-term track-specific projects designed to strengthen your portfolio in your area of focus.

You will work very closely with our Creative Director; Lead, as well as other members of the studio team throughout the program. Mentorship is integrated directly into the workflow through ongoing feedback, collaboration, and project reviews.

Our Fall '26 internship program runs from August to December.

Compensation: Unpaid | Academic Internship Credit Available.

Important: Students are responsible for coordinating with their academic advisor to ensure the internship meets their institution’s credit requirements.

Students may work 10-15 hours per week depending on availability and academic schedule. Participation in this program does not guarrantee, nor imply a paid position to Space2Inspire at the conclusion of the program.

The mission of Space2Inspire is to create opportunities for emerging creatives to develop confidence, build meaningful work, and grow through hands-on studio experience. It is about helping students use their own creative space to inspire themselves and others through practice and collaboration.
