Dr. Sian "Leo" Proctor's Space Poet is a journey of space discovery through poetic expression. In 2021, she became the first artist selected to go to space when she won a Twitter contest for the SpaceX Inspiration4 Mission - the first all civilian mission to orbit the Earth. She won the contest by sharing an original poem titled Space2inspire. That poem is one of 42 poems included in her poetry collection that chronicles her pre-space, space, and post space experience. This book is a one-of-a-kind look at what it was like to become the first African-American woman to pilot a spaceship.
